Sports May Be The Way of Life
Sports May Be the Way of Life

On October 1, 1987 Gary and Donna Perle gave birth to their daughter Elizabeth (Lizz) Perle in Toms River, NJ.
According to her parents Lizz has always had a passion for sports. Eevven at a young age Lizz. She would always pick up balls and throw them around the house. Her parents would were always get on to her telling her that she was going to break something one day.
Her mother Donna stated “Elizabeth is athletic and has loved sports since she was a little girl.” She was always getting into a mess. According to her parents, but was still the best child any parent could ask for.
Lizz loves the Boston Red Sox and the Dallas Cowboys. She is a die hard fan for both teams and can always tell you who won and who hit a home run, who scored the touchdown and where the teams are standing in their conference.
Lizz has been in a relationship for over a year now Lizz’s. Her squeeze for the past year is Michael Robbins. Michael also attends ECU. When I interviewed Michael he had this to say about Lizz, “she is a very caring and loving person. She usually never puts herself in front of others.”
From the time I have spent around Lizz this semester I can agree with this statement. As an example of Lizz’s generosity to others is that she is always willing to help out a classmate. She has even helped me out before while working with a power point presentation. She is always willing to help others out before she does anything for herself.
As I said earlier, not only is she a sports fan, Lizz is very athletic herself and Michael echoes this when he says “Lizz is very athletic and energetic. She “Lizz loves football but other sports like basketball and softball have grown on her as well.”
Lizz is also an extremely smart young lady. Michael and Lizz’s father Gary echoed each other when saying that “Lizz is very smart and added: “She is always a perfectionist at everything she does.”
This can be backed up by the fact that Lizz has made the dean’s list every semester here at ECU. Her father Gary stated says that “Elizabeth’s enrollment in Dean’s List shows how much she can achieve if she sets her mind to something. This shows showing everyone first hand that success is not far off for my daughter.”
Lizz’s interest in public relations is unique. She has always been interested in the field unlike others for whom PR just fell into their lap. Her boyfriend Michael said “nothing would make her happier than to do PR work for the ECU athletic department.”
Her mother Donna seems to be just like Lizz. She also seems fun and energetic and says that her daughter is a “very intelligent, creative and caring person, with positive goals for her future.” Although she works very hard, she loves to have a good time.”
Lizz is also very involved with her family even though she does not like her hometown of 18 years, Toms River, NJ. She says that it is too cold and enjoys her time in NC more with the people that she has met.
Michael said even though Lizz never really goes home she is very family oriented. Michael says that she always calls her parents and is always in touch with other family members. Her parents understand her love for ECU and for NC so they allow their daughter to enjoy her time away from home.
North Carolina is really different from Tom’s River. Lizz says that “North Carolina is an awesome place to live. There is so much to do here, everyone is nice, and I go to a great school. What more could you ask for?”
Michael said Even though Lizz never really goes home she is very family oriented. “Lizz truly does love her family and said that they always come first, no matter what the situation is.”
From her family and friends, the adjectives just keep piling up: Lizz is a very hard worker, honest, someone you can trust and there is truth to that statement with her dedication to school. Her father said that “I have always showed Elizabeth that hard work and determination bring positive achievements in life. She believes that honesty and trust are a person’s best virtue.” This is something that it sometimes hard to find in today’s day and age.
From the past few weeks of getting to know Lizz, I can say that I agree with her boyfriend and mother and father, she is a great person and seems to be an awesome person to hang out with from this report.
To sum it up, as far as this reporter can tell, her boyfriend is one lucky guy for having all the great characteristics in a girlfriend, especially the love for sports. This is, something that some girls could care less about.
Clearly, Lizz’s mother and father have done an exceptional job in raising her to the standards that she lives by today. Her work effort, desire to always succeed, and honesty seem to be her best qualities. With the people that she is surrounded by, if anyone can realize her dream in life—whether it is working on PR for a major sports team or anything else—it is Elizabeth (Lizz) Perle.
